As the first tasting room in Calistoga back in 2002, Vermeil Wines is a must see for guests traveling through the Napa Valley. Warm, friendly, informative and packed full of history, this tasting experience is sure to leave you coming back for more. If you are a football fan this is right up your alley. Coach Dick Vermeil, who is known for leading the St. Louis Rams to a Super Bowl victory in 2000, frequents the tasting room to make sure everything is running smoothly. You might also catch one of his games playing on the big screen while enjoying your wine.
Vermeil Wines is a perfect place to spend an afternoon in Calistoga. In fact, many of our guests ask us where they can go after a day of touring the wineries. Vermeil Wines is just a quick walk from both of our inns- Calistoga Wine Way and Craftsman Inn– with weekend hours going well into the evening. We suggest you make this stop an integral part of your trip.
Upon arriving to the tasting room you will be presented with a list of several wines to choose from ranging from a lightly oaked and floral chardonnay, to their bolder and delicious Charbono. With an extensive variety of wines there is sure to be an option for everyone in your group.
For some local history of Calistoga, and to experience the taste of fruit sourced from generational Frediani Vineyards, Vermeil Wines is the place for you.
